The short version
Pack Weigh is a free packing list app. Use it sensibly, do not put rubbish in front of other people, and check your own gear before you head out. We do the same in return: we look after your data and we tell you when things change.
Weights are estimates
Every weight in Pack Weigh comes from you, from a product page or from a food database. None of it is measured by us. Check anything that matters on a set of scales, and use your own judgement about what to carry and what it weighs. Your safety in the outdoors is yours.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us if you think someone else has got into it.
What you share
You own what you put in. By sharing a pack to Explore you let other signed-in users see it, copy it and use it for their own trips. Do not post anything unlawful, misleading, abusive, or anything that is not yours to post. We can remove anything and close accounts that break this.
Links to shops
Product links are added by people, not by us, and some may earn the person who added them a commission. Where that is the case, the app says so. We do not sell anything, and a purchase is between you and that shop.
Free, and no promises about uptime
Pack Weigh is free and provided as is. We aim to keep it running and backed up, but we cannot promise it will never be down or never lose data. Keep your own note of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Ending it
You can delete your account in the app at any time. We can close an account that breaks these terms.
New Zealand law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law. Nothing here takes away rights you have under the Consumer Guarantees Act or the Fair Trading Act.
